    Flexo has DEFINITELY got the right idea. The subtle flash is fantastic - other ideas are welcome, but this is clean and great.

    @Flexo - MOST of the banners will be used on the CAPLINQ.com website, so the whole logo and slogan are probably NOT needed.

    I think I want to split up the banners into three messages:
    Message#1: Shipping rates are calculated AUTOMATICALLY based on PRODUCT WEIGHT & SHIP TO address. Orders from Asia, Europe, Africa ship from Amsterdam, Netherlands. Orders from USA, Canada, Mexico ship from Ottawa, Canada.

    Message#2: Customers can choose from Canada Post (if shipping from Canada), TNT Post (if shipping from Netherlands) <-- these options appear depending on SHIP TO location, UPS (both NL and CA), Customer's own carrier or FLAT RATE: $450.

    Message#3: Payment options are a) by Purchase Order (on approved credit), b) Credit Card, c) PayPal d) Bank Transfer

    Hi! Some tips to get the most our of your contest:

    - Start ranking designs as they get posted. Update daily if you can.
    - Give feedback to submissions, with hints and requests, be always kind and helpful, this will help designers a lot!
    - You can use the "not interested" to discard what you really don't like. Don't worry, nobody get offended.
    - Designers are ranked with our score system after each contest:

    Winner => 50 points
    2nd place => 20 points
    3rd place => 10 points
    4th place => 5 points
    5th place => 5 points
    Not discarted entries get 3 points.

    How to rank entries:

    1) Login with your userid and password and go to the contest page
    2) Near every entry clink on the link: "Edit Rank".
    3) An ajax form shows up which will load the contest entries list.
    4) Select the rank (1 best = 1st, 2 = 2nd, and so on...) and click the update button.

    The rank will be updated and the contest entries will be listed in the rank order.

    Please, also use the comment system, in both contest page and / or designer's page. To directly comment a designer's entry, click on the image. All his/her entries for your contest will show up. Add your comments below.

    By "mini ads" I mean banners in the left and right column of my site. There are two pages and the widths are fluid, but this is where I want them.

    As for the height, about the same size as the other modules in the left/right column is the idea.

    Look at these two pages:
    http://www.caplinq.com
    and
    http://www.caplinq.com/products.html
    for the two banner widths.

    #1231 This is 300x250 with light colours. It can be an animated gif with changing text in the baloon.

    Hi,
    can you please specify what kind of MINI ADS are you looking for?

    If you have specific size (125x125 for example?), I could work on a dedicated design.

    Thanks
    Alex

    Sorry, I didn't know there were any entries already. Thanks for your submissions. The colors that Flexo submitted are much more in line than what AlexB has submitted, but the concept AlexB has submitted, is much more the goal.

    I really want "mini-ads" mini banners that give a message. Ideally, there would be either a little animation (like animated gif) or .swf files.

    This is because I don't think the whole message can be squeezed into one caption, and if a picture says a 1000 words, than animation says a million.

    As for creating several banners, I completely agree with Remco. I would like only one THEME of banners for now, so different sizes are not necessary.

    I'll feedback more as thing progress, thanks!

    It's no use to create several different banners if the clients doesn't like the concept...That's a waste of time.
