    Hi Elena,

I was too late to seriously enter with a second draft plus my internet @ home didn't work. But i see you ended up with a great logo anyways:)

To answer your question, i was at Samos:) I believe it was Pythagoras who lived there during the old days?:)

Congratulations on your marriage! Always good to hear that two people found each other:) When's the party?;)

    ...dear Designers...
2 days left and finalists are changing day by day as I have contacted my firm's partenrs and we discussed certain details.
Here is a list for the best & winning logo:
    1. luxury and elegance are a must
    2. olive green and brown, colours of olives and of the soil are required
    3. minimal forms and lines give sophistication and transmit the Cycladic feeling of holiday housing
    4. giving the feeling of relaxation and tranquility is a MUST for the logo and last but not least...
    5. fonts should be original, not the frequently used ones, fonts that will be remembered and connected to the Olive Villas significant advantage: buying a Villa in a Greek island to have FOR LIFE, to relax and spend the most tranquile moments!

    Thanks again all of you!!!

    Dear Designers
I can see that some of you are using Greek mythology for creating the logo. I just want to point out that Syros (where the Olive Villas are located) are in Syros island, where the capital of the Cyclades islands, Ermoupolis, is located.

For more on Syros and Cyclades history please refer to

Just to say that the Cycladic civilisation is slightly older than the Minoan civilisation of Crete. The beginnings of the Minoan civilisation were influenced by the Cycladic civilisation: Cycladic statuettes were imported into Crete and local artisans imitated Cycladic techniques.

Therefore, I am not keen on using Cretan forms for the logo as the two civilisations share quite different characteristics, though ancient Greek and the logo should not convey such ancient-inspired elements.

Thanks for your creative input and always available for feedback!
    Have a GR8 weekend!

    Hi there,

I've recently been to greece and what i've noticed is that many companies use some sort of greek font over there(maybe a national tradition or something? Tourism maybe?), so if you don't mind...i haven't:) I did use a font which would well fit there and also portrays enough professionalism. I tried to incorporate a little bit of humor but still keeping a close eye to the overall professional look&feel of the logo. Please let me know what you like/dislike, so i can continue finetuning it. And if you don't like it at all, please let me know that also:)

    Dear all (& GreenIdeas)
I agree that the logo might look like one of selling olive-related products but the word "Villas" says it all and I prefer not to incorporate the housing issue too much. Of course, ideas are always welcome and if someone can depict the real estate idea behind the logo in a really creative and Greek-like way, this is more than welcome!!!

Always nice to have your feedback as well :)

Efal thanks for your great feedback that really helped us and saved our time.
One little suggestions with due respect to your ideas is that incorporating just olive leafs, branches and berries without incorporating “ Villas “ segment in design might lead to represent the food or olive oil. In my view ( just a suggestion with due respect to your preference ) if we should add a segment of Real Estate into the design also. Because only olive leafs & berries if you put them on a bottle it will look like that you deal with Olive Oil products.

It was just a suggestion and final decision is yours. We respect your thoughts.

    Again thanks for your feedback.

Dear GreenIdeas nice to be back!
I really appreciated the work done for my personal office logo during October last year and therefore, I come back for my most demanding real estate project now for the year 2011 :)

As for your email, the idea is something really minimal, not too many signs, sketches, etc, just the name of the Olive Villas, written in any way one likes/ proposes and the sign of the olive IN ANY FORM ONE WISHES (the leaf and the olive are actually the simplest forms of transmitting the idea). I am expecting anything really creative and resourceful!!!

I am not interested in seeing houses or olive groves, I just said that the location of these villas is by the beach, within an olive grove, no need to show that fact in the logo :)

Hope I have helped! My selections of the top-5 are a sign of my preferences up to now.

Regards and thank for everything once again!

Thank you all for your valuable input. As you can see, I am strict in my colour scheme (blue and vivid colours do not match the idea of luxury and tranquility for the Cycladic Greek real estate but only for Greek post cards :)
I am eager to see more olive-inspired themed logos as the idea behind the project is that it is built in an olive grove, by the beach!

The graphic is an outline of the island plus it feels and looks like waves splashing. Thank you.
